Lowell Help,!

Hi I have had debt issues in past and over the last 2/3 years have gradually got myself back on track. I tried cleaning up credit file and thought I was doing well. All payments made on time and more than minimum. Then I get a txt to say Next we’re reducing my credit limit it was £150!!! Down to £100 due to adverse information. I then find that 2 defaults from Lowell in Oct 2014 kept appearing as being not paid each month same thing. When I first realised they were on there I contacted Lowell for info who they were from etc they couldn’t supply cca but said debts were due and enforceable. So I ignored them thinking they going to disappear by the end of the year but in the meantime they messing up my file. I suffer with Bi Polar and have managed to get and progress on a good medication regime this is now making me edgy and I don’t want to go down again. Any advice please.

Down to £100 due to adverse information.
If a reduction of £100 in you credit limit makes you edgy then perhaps it is time to have another look at all your bills to see if there are savings to be made. You don't want another reduction you can't deal with.

Do you want to put up a Statement of Accounts https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.php

  • Hi Gillian, iv been there many years ago, dont ignore it, it will not go away and they will begin sending you lots of letters which will push you over the edge - make it your mission to find out what they are for and deal with them because that is the only thing that will keep you feeling positive!   i know its scary and you want to bury your head but dont do it, overcome it :)
And as Gallo said - see what you can reduce

Thank you both for your advice. It wasn’t the reduction of my credit limit that’s making me edgy it’s the fact that they keep reporting it but can’t give me the original details. Thank you both for your help

2 defaults from Lowell in Oct 2014
Well they should drop off in October after 6 years so you might get a bit more activity as you get towards then - assuming the default date is definitely Oct 2014
