Changing fix term duration after submitting application

I am FTB and I'm applying for a mortgage with a 2 yr fix. I didn't really think it though and now I feel a 5yr fix would be a better fit for me. However, I've already submitted the application - the property hasn't been surveyed etc yet. Is it possible to change the term at this point or would I need to restart the application?
