Flexplus Travel Insurance Useless

Out to Spain on holiday March 2nd 2020 pre Covid returning 28th March. Covid lockdown in Spain Monday 15th March - all flights cancelled. Managed to return home 3 July 2020 when flights restarted.
Back home made claim on Flexplus Travel Insurance and claim denied - not a penny!

You'll need to be a bit more specific with details.
What did you claim for, and why was it denied ?

Limited flights were still operating so to say you stayed there an extra 3 months is absurd.

I hope you enjoyed all that time in Spain. Long enough to learn the language.

I remember someone on this forum in May claiming he was "stuck" in Menorca. A quick 5 minutes on Skyscanner and airport arrival board websites showed flights to the UK were still operating via Barcelona or Madrid.

Another bloke claimed he had been stuck in Malta and again, 5 mins research showed Air Malta were operating a daily flight to Heathrow.  May I suggest the OP gave up trying to get home too easily (probably because the flight didnt cost 50p) and this is probably why they arent paying out.

Were you unable to get a repatriation flight ?

They didnt even need to do that, commercial flights from Spain to the UK never stopped.  Yes it may have involved a change, or yes it may have involved flying into the wrong UK airport, but they were still there.

Think we have a winner for the most ridiculous post of the day - although tbf there are a lot of them just now.

    Yes, indeed.
Just questioning the "all flights cancelled" claim.

Crazy - we were in Spain when lockdown happened. Easy jet put on repatriation flights (from Murcia in our case). The one we were on had some spare seats and the one the following day apparently accepted walk up passengers.
