Tax rebate cheque

I received a tax rebate cheque and as I have no account or photo I'd to open one  and tried lodging it in my brother's account though his bank said no So what can I do

    Open a basic bank account of your own. 
    You will need one in your life eventually, for salary payments  bebefit payments,
    Direct debit payments. Jusl leave a pound in it .
