First of all, stop doing the DIPs all over the place, the data is logged and if one bit doesn't tally across all the applications that could cause issues.

Second thing, the score / rating is not seen or used by any financial institution in the UK, it's the credit history.

Due to your employment situation, you will need to use a broker so they can place you with the right lender.

Generally it's 4.5x your income, plus deposit, for your total buying power, on top of that you have solicitors fees, mortgage fees, broker fees and any furniture / white goods you need.

@haras_n0sirrah and @Deleted_User are two of the resident brokers on MSE, you can approach them but they cannot approach you. Many of us have used the brokers who comment on this forum.

Absolutely stop getting dips everywhere. Choose one broker you trust and stick with them. Too many credit checks will cause you problems going forward. A whole of market broker will be able to find the best deal for your circumstances- you dont need to dip with every lender

Thanks both for your helpful insights. To be honest I didn’t really consider that - and now I’ve got too many. Should I hold off a few months before applying now? And obviously not apply for any more!

You should pick one broker, stick with them, provide copies of all your credit reports and see what they say.

Ask friends and family who have purchased a property in the last year or so who they used. If no one has, look through the posts and see which broker you like the sound of and message them. You can approach the brokers, they cannot approach you.

One has already replied to your thread, there are a few others who also come across well.

Many of us have used the brokers who post on MSE and are comfortably sitting in our own homes.
