Wrongly paid for almost 6 months

Hi there,
I'm seeking for advise.

Back in February I have been promoted, I have been given a new role as well as a pay increase. I have been doing the job since January and been with the company for almost 5 years now. My pay has never increased. I have been chasing HR department and talking with my manager a number of times and that got me nowhere. I have a number of emails with my new job description and as of when I will be getting a pay rise.  However not in a single email is mentioning what is the pay rise. Please can someone advise me what else I can do?
I have been made furlough for just over 2 months and I really dont mind not getting paid correctly for that time, but I feel that I'm doing a managers job for a assistant wage. The company has recently made redundancies and while I understand that I should be grateful to have a job in the first place, I'm being extremely underpaid. The next manager up is getting paid £17000 more from my current wage. And my pay rise was only £4000 extra a year, so I'm still the least paid person in the team of 20.

Looking forward to any advise.

According to your post you are getting a £4k payrise and have received the promotion / payrise.

Are you trying to get another payrise?

I think they were saying their new pay level was £4k up but they'd not received this as yet and are currently owed around £2k in which case, less deductions - please confirm OP?

In which case you need to check your new contract or/and any paperwork confirming this rate was to be paid from XXXX date.

Apologies about the confusion. So I suppose to get a pay rise 6 months ago, as I started doing a managers role. However, I have never received a new contract as well as new pay. I have chased this unsuccessfully since March with my HR department and manager. I work for a very large corporation. Last time I spoke with my manager, she said she will not be able to pay me from Feb (when I received the promotion) as they did not fill in the paperwork correctly but will try their best at least to start paying the increase now. This was 4 weeks ago, and when I checked with her on Friday, she had no update. I feel that this is extremely unfair as I have been working really hard and not get paid for the past 6 months accordingly. I have all the email tread. Just wondering is there anything else I could do at all?

    Leave.
If you are worth the extra money to them they may give you the pay rise.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

That is my plan, but I was just wondering if there is any way I can get the money back for the past 6 months before I go. But I suppose not. Thank you for your response!

How on earth is that a helpful comment?

Which is it? Why did you accept the promotion before agreeing terms?

I don't understand the question. The agreed pay rise was supposed to be £4000, and we agreed on all the terms in a meeting and exchanged sever emails, but I have never received the contract or the pay rise. However, did the new role. I did not felt that it could go wrong as I was with a company for over 4 years at that point, I trusted that whatever is taking so long will be resolved. I hope this answers your question.

You need to put in writing with an ultimatum in terms of a date when you want the payrise to be rectified and back-dated.
