Hi
I filed bankruptcy 10 years ago and was able to do a modification to my mortgage and keep my house. the mortgage, that I'm paying monthly, does not show on my credit report.
things are much better for me now and I'm in the process of applying for a mortgage for a second home. How should I explain this in my mortgage application?
Thanks

to the best of your knowledge and honestly, bare in mind there are other CRAs as well which may report it"It is prudent when shopping for something important, not to limit yourself to Pound land/Estate Agents"

Not all financial institutions report to all credit reference agencies, mine only reports to one.
Have a look at all of them and see which it reports to.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
You wont need to explain it.
Just put down that you have a mortgage with whoever on your new application. That will be all that is needed.
IF they can not see a payment history they may ask for a Mortgage statement but that is unlikely.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
