Has anyone completed the application direct with NatWest via online application. We have a aip with NatWest via broker and wanted to move to full application. Broker is off sick and carnt get an appointment in branch. Are their any pitfalls in doing the application online especially if already have aip.
We are fairly simple case, moving up, both have jobs not self employeed. £60k under what aip said they would lend!

Is there not someone else from the firm that can sort the application for you. Brokers should arrangements in place for locums to cover their cases in this type of scenario.Nat West AIP through a broker is a hard credit search, if you start again, you’ll have another hard search on your file.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. We submitted direct, we are home movers, both employed, not furloughed and well within affordability with 32% deposit. Our timeline was as follows:
18.07 - application submitted
20.07 - 3 months payslips requested
22.07 - 3 months statements for hubby bank account requested as main account not with NatWest
22.07 - valuation instructed
24.07 - received email confirming application approved subject to satisfactory survey (there is a delay with physical valuations due to the pandemic)
We found the process quick and easy and any questions we had were answered in a quick and friendly manner by their Mortgage Centre staff. However if you have an AIP from a broker that’s a hard search - applying direct is only soft so probably best to stick with the broker process.

Thanks for your advice. The brokers office coming back to me Monday so hopefully they will be better and be able to get me booked in again ASAP. Just wondered what my best options were if they weren’t about to. Fingers crossed.0
