Working Abroad (US or Canada) Programs?

Hi there,
I am looking at the possibility of applying to work abroad in the US or Canada possibly in the summer next year.
I am wondering if anyone can recommend any good companies that offer such programs? I came across one called BUNAC, but found their support is pretty bad.
A little about me - I'm 34 and a UK citizen, so I would need to apply for a VISA etc, which I hope these companies would assist with.
If anyone can recommend any good companies that offer work placements in the US or Canada, that would be great!
Thanks!
