Are 90% mortgages likely to return in the next 6-12 months?

I think the end of the furlough scheme will probably give lenders more insight into the lay of the land. I do think it's positive that Nationwide as a major lender returned with a 90% product albeit for FTB only and with other restrictions.

If there's profit to be had you can bet your life banks will find a way to get it. They will definitely return before the years out unless the government embark on another round of forcing the banks to tighten lending criteria even further. Which, in my opinion, is very unlikely.

I personally think that they will return once the economic picture is a little clearer.

It is a positive that Nationwide, a major lender, have returned to that category. I'm sure others will follow suit given time and a clearer picture of what the UK housing market is up to.

They are available now via brokers.
HSBC, Barclays, Skipton, BOI all doing broker deals. Think from memory.last week 7 lendera in total were offering 90 ltv deals.
