Sounds good. Like you, no decent offers from the DCAs either. I will also just wait. I have a feeling they may be more willing further down the line. But then again with the CCAs that may well help us! I think it’s all just a waiting game. Personally I am really impatient and want everything done as quickly as possible, but I am having to learn to be patient!
My advice would be to tackle your AR markers. These will make your credit file as bad as having a default for 6 years after the account is settled!!
this was a startling revelation to me last week I can tell you!
i have just used a template letter. I found it on here by searching ‘AR removal’ so will see how that goes.
the original poster cleared 4 out of 4 ARs with this!
so don’t put up with it. They should have defaulted. Just my thoughts.
  • Yes I am the same VERY impatient, but I think this is a trait with people who get into money issues.

Yes I tried to tackle the AR markers last year, 3 if the accounts are MBNA owned who are notoriously hard to get to shift them. I tried all the templates emails quoting FCO, arguing that I was worse off for paying but to no avail and I did really try. Let me know if you have any luck with this and if so I’ll try again, thanks
  • That’s a bit worrying. Luckily it’s not MBNA. Ok will let you know how it goes.
