Just wondering (further to the other posters query) why oh why do people pay over the odds for Luncheon Vouchers on Ebay....there must be some reason .... please put me out of my misery !!!

I was once told that all vouchers sell well on ebay because of people on benefits or anyone else who cant have extra money coming in, they sell things on ebay and use the money to buy vouchers, thus never touching their bank account!

dont know how true it is though
  • Well I used them for the second time today, and after the experience I had in my local Asda, it's put me off a bit.

When I handed £3 worth over at the checkout, she looked at them as if I'd just given her an alien artifact! :rotfl: She went and called someone from customer services, who on seeing the vouchers, immediately said that they don't accept them. This prompted me to reach into my jacket pocket, and get out the back of the voucher booklet which shows the logos of all the stores which accept the vouchers. The customer services woman then took my vouchers away for a few mintutes, before finally coming back and saying that as they'd gone through her scanner, they must accept them after all.

Although both assistants were apologetic, I can't help but be put off from using them in my local Asda after this! (This is in complete contrast to when I used them for the first time in my local Morrisons - after handing over £6 worth, the checkout operator briefly looked at them, before running them through no probs).

I guess if I'm going to have this fuss everytime I try to use the vouchers in my local Asda, I'll be using my remaining £9 worth elsewhere.....
  • At Christmas I used 8 books to buy my turkey crown at ASDA no problem.

My local Tesco refused them. Used then in Sainsburys once (blank look at checkout, manager had to be called & consulted = long queue!). I just use them in Starbucks or McDonalds now.
  • Have used mine in Tescos, Asda and Morrisons. Usually do not have any problems unless the checkout operator has never seen them before or is unaware of store policy and does not know if they go under vouchers/coupons or cash. Cue a long queue forming behind me whilst the assistant calls for help.

  • The luncheon vouchers talked about in this thread are sent to you as payment for participating in online surveys.

I am not sure if this is the right board, but please move if it isn't :)

I have quite a few luncheon vouchers from answering surveys for P******e and I am not sure which is the best place to use them.

I have looked on the LV website and all the major supermarkets are on there, does this mean I can exchange them as part-payment for my grocery bill at the checkout or do I have to use them for, well, lunch.

I don't eat meals out very often, but I do buy coffees when I am out shopping and I see Starbucks accept them, unfortunately I don't like Starbucks coffee :rolleyes2

If anyone uses LV regularly,I would be glad of any recommendations as to where to redeem them.

I always use mine at tesco or morrisons off my shopping! If they won't take them as a supervisor they have always taken mine but not in the restaurants.

Is P******e still going? I haven't had any surveys for ages!
  • What surveys are they? How do I participate? x
