Payment not matching payslip

I was paid in March for hours worked in February. When I received my payslip, it didn’t match the money I had actually received. Upon questioning this I was told that I had only received 80% of my pay as the company couldn’t afford to pay it and would receive the money owed when they have it.
Should they provide me with an amended payslip? Where do I stand with receiving the money owed?

What have they reported to HMRC?

Have you done any work for them since February?

When did you receive the payslip?

What is your contractual relationship with the organisation?

No, the payslip should stand - they can't go back and change it, particularly as it relates to the previous tax year.

When did you find this out? Have you asked the company when you can expect payment?
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
