Purchasing a sofa outright

Hi,
we have just had our mortgage go through following completion of their valuation report - we are at the top end of our borrowing allowance. We are a few weeks from completion but want to purchase a new sofa for our house.
Obviously, this will take some time to be delivered so we would like to do so early.
If we were to buy the sofa outright (which we have ample funds to do so) could this impact our mortgage?

I would think this would be fine. It's only if you take out new credit that you put your mortgage at risk.Save £12k in 2025 #33 £2531.77/£5000 (If this carries on I might have to up my target!)

Buying with cash or debit card, where you have money in the bank to pay for it is fine.
Using credit, taking finance etc isn't advisable normally, let alone during the current climate.
Make sure you buy from a reputable company, research them and read reviews before placing your order.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
