Very catalogue payment plan?

I’m searching and it appears they don’t even do them. I rang today to sort a payment plan out and they want the facts and figures of everything.
I appreciate it’s not an important debt as mortgage etc but does that automatically take away that you cant work out what you can afford yourself and make an offer?
Laying my cards out I just want to reduce my payments and pay the thing off as they have closed my account straight away(when payments were put on hold)despite being a customer for years who’s never missed a payment but I’m glad it’s over.
I was well paid I’m not now due to Covid have been bumped of furlough payments owed to me, but have thankfully found alternative employment albeit less hours and less pay.
Looking at Step change etc it appears you have to split payments over all creditors as selfish as it sounds I’m paying everything fine and I just don’t have the extra to chuck at Very anymore(I also appreciate I was an idiot to run it up so high anyway).
Sorry if I sound like an idiot but I don’t want to ruin all my other bill payments just because I have been an idiot to one debtor and made a stupid mistake.
Thanks

Hi,Unfortunatly shop direct group, who operate Very, love to chuck massive credit limits at you, but when the boot is on the other foot, and you need help, they are pretty much useless.I don`t have much in the way of good news for you to be honest, they will send your account to collections, or even an external DCA, or possibly sell the debt on, they may default you as well, so you may have no choice in having your credit file ruined, sorry.Any arrangement agreed with them, will only be temporary (6 month max) and will be marked as "AP" (Arrangement to pay) on your credit file, anything but full contractural repayment will have a negative effect on your file, but don`t take it too badly, it only matters if you want new borrowing, and time will heal all wounds, so not so bad.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thankyou, I thought that would be the case.
So I’m right in thinking just let them pass it on pay it back and done?Just carry on paying everything else as normal as my credits knackered anyway and I don’t want to upset anyone else if I can pay them?
Thanks again for not judging me I know I have been an idiot but I work hard and want a life and can’t possibly catch up with these frozen payments.0 -
Dotty, lots of people have trouble with catalog debts, don’t go stressing over not been able to pay it, let them do their thing, and you do yours, you will find dealing with a debt collector surprisingly much easier than you think, you can pay what’s affordable, and that’s that.
