Expat Mortgage advise needed

Hi, hoping someone can help.  As the title indicates we are looking to return back to the UK but finding you need address, credit history etc to apply for a mortgage.  We currently own a property that is on the market abroad (mortgage paid in full a few months ago) and my husband's company is transferring him to the UK branch, have a letter to verify.  We are both UK citizens.  Where would be the best place to look for a mortgage under these circumstances?

    Use a broker.

How long have you been out the UK for?
Did you retain any UK bank accounts during the time you have been away?

Any particular Broker?  We have been away for 6 years and hold a NI bank account used for savings only.

@haras_n0sirrah deals with ex-pat mortgages and people moving back to the UK. She's one of the brokers who has been posting on MSE for years (her old name was haras_nosirrah if you want to look up her posting history and see what you think of her comments).

Aside from asking UK friends / family who have recently purchased which broker(s) they used it's internet searches to find one.

Many of us pick brokers who post on MSE as we can trawl through their posting history and get a feel for whether they can assist 😊

Yes I can certainly see what I can do to help - we have placed many expat clients but the last was pre lockdown so I would need to recheck criteria but certainly happy to see what I can do if you would like
Under MSE conduct rules I am not allowed to approach forumites so if you would like assistance you would need to pm me asking for help
