:idea: I had a theory about these free lights today (I'm the OP that received the lights this morning) My position is this - I've been with ebay for a few years, only got a feedback rating of 227, and used to sell on the site quite regularly. I haven't attempted to sell anything for a few months now - so I reckon, (I'm only guessing remember!) that ebay wants to coax me back into selling - so they can once again get their wonderful profit! By having their brightly coloured promotional ebay lights shining above my computer (remember they only work on USB) I can be constantly reminded about how I could be using ebay! To my, admittedly cynical, eye this is why they have sent them to me. What about the rest of you that got the lights, were you a regular seller that lapsed??? ...... Just a thought. :think:

I had some and i've bought and sold about 1,500 items. I've also been quite active lately so don't think that theory holds up I'm afraid.

Thanks alanclose, you're right I did get a bit excited this morning when I got the lights and sorry, poppycat and others I shouldn't really have put it on this thread. It has led to an interesting discussion though! Hopefully some of you that didn't get them today will get them sometime soon/maybe this week....? As my theory wasn't right, maybe it was a random decision on ebay's part?
