PaySlip Issues

Morning,
I am having issues with my payslip not adding up how I think it should. I have checked it a number of times and for me personally they dont add up.
I am currently on £13PH however on my payslip the first page is showing as £8.72. The company incharge of paying is saying everything is fine that the £8.72 means nothing but for me what I work out my Taxable amount doesnt every match there. Can some one tell me if I am going crazy or there is something wrong.

You appear to be receiving your pay through an umbrella company. This entails some extra expenses deducted from your £13 an hour, employer's national insurance, apprentice levy, and the umbrella company's costs and profit margin. I believe that the theory is that if you were employed directly rather than through an umbrella company the organisation you work for would be paying these costs and so your salary would be lower.0

And it is why you are able to be paid those expenses of £85.25 (every week?)
