New Scottish Widows site

Anyone else here with a Scottish Widows company pension? Am I missing something, or is there now no way to show what you've purchased and when on their new site? Practically useless for tracking porfolio returns.

I had a small one from an old employer and complained because of how crap the site was and got a £100 cheque (happy to share the email if anyone's interested) and now I've transferred to my Vanguard SIPP. You may find another platform is better for you I just like Vanguard.

If you mean seeing on a monthly basis how many units of each fund have been bought, and at what price, then you're correct. I've provided this feedback to them, but have heard nothing back.kinger101 said:Anyone else here with a Scottish Widows company pension? Fortunately I still seem to be able to access the old site which provides this information, but I imagine it will be closed down at some point.1 -
No access to the old site now. I think I'll be doing a regular transfer out to my SIPP if functionality isn't improved."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0

I was using the old site for a current workplace pension (using login ID and PIN to log in) and recently had to re-register with an email and password instead - having got a letter about it at the end of last year which I filed away, then finally discovering that the old ID and PIN couldn't be used any more.kinger101 said:No access to the old site now. I wondered if this would take me into the 'new site'. However, the credentials don't get me into the "I've always logged in with my email address" portal, only to the "I use a customer ID and PIN to log in. Or I have re-registered and now use my email address to log in." portal, which is the exact same clunky software with poor layout and bad browser compatibility that it's always been. But it does show unit history etc.
Yes, I do this too. As the account balance is only going to be getting up to the £10-15k level or so before I transfer out, the high fees for external funds are not too painful so I've given up on trying to properly research SW's inhouse funds.Prism said:
Thats what we do. There are about 3 funds that I like in the whole of the Scottish Widows platform.kinger101 said:No access to the old site now. I think I'll be doing a regular transfer out to my SIPP if functionality isn't improved.
The 3 funds I generally use are JPM Emerging Markets, Baillie Gifford Managed and Liontrust UK Smaller. YTD, unit price of BG M is up about 15%, JPM EM about 5%, Liontrust down about 8%. There is no easy way to see that on the site, but I can see the unit prices for 28 December by looking at last year's unit history as there was a monthly management fee adjustment booked on that date.

I've got Liontrust UK Smaller too, which has been a bit disappointing lately. I had a bit of a overhaul in November and put a decent amount in Baillie Gifford American though so I can't really grumble.
I can't get the old site, which was bad, but at least that told me what I bought and when."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0 -
I was too quick off the mark when I posted my reply yesterday.I can't get the old site, which was bad, but at least that told me what I bought and when.
I used to be able to access the old site to check purchases but l too no longer seem to be able to access it. Shame.
I'll be transferring out of SW some time in the next few months, and I think I can live with their dysfunctional site in the meantime.
Current plan is to retire early next year and I'll probably do so then. The question is where to? I've an existing SIPP at Interactive Investor - no complaints - but I'm just slightly nervous at putting all my eggs in one basket.0 -
Yes those were pretty much the 3. I think they have the BG US and Japan funds too but anyway now we are also transferring at the 10-15k mark its BG Managed all the way, which actually seems a pretty good all round fund.bowlhead99 said:

I have a Scottish Widows pension from a previous employer, I access it through https://money4life.scottishwidows.co.uk/employee/#/.
There doesn't seem to be a change to me, do these changes apply to a different scheme?0 -
Short update. Complained to SW and they allowed me to re-register for the old website. Don't know how long it will be still be available but working for now."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius0
