Ex-Partner being difficult over Remortgage

Hi,
I am in the middle of an ongoing difficult seperation with my ex-partner, who is trying a few tricks to avoid getting me off the mortgage at a property I no longer live at.
The latest this morning - hence the request for help to see if this is accurate - is that as he has been on a Mortgage Holiday through Covid, he is not able to make an appointment with a mortgage adviser until he has made the next payment, due towards the end of August (when the mortgage holiday is complete).
To me, this sounds like nothing more than a delaying tactic - can anyone shed some light please?

Based on what I've read on this forum, it's highly likely your ex is telling the truth about it. Quite a few lenders have got a bit iffy about payment holidays.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

I can totally beleive this as accurate. Plenty lenders flat out refusing to consider cases when a payment holiday is in place or was taken at all even if payments have resumed0

Has your ex been furloughed?0

yes, he basically furloughed himself as he's self employed. I appreciate the responses above, it just sounded fishy.0
