Can contact one of the charities like step change or you can post some more information on here and I am sure somebody can give you some good advice.0

As above, stepchange debt charity, in my signiture, and/or post an SOA or give us more details, and we will be able to recomend a course of action, although anything but full payment on secured borrowing will result in repossesion, so that must be treated as a priority debt.

He has a mortgage with YBS and as I understand it, Picture Homeloans are second to YBS as regards repossession?0

They would be a second charge, yes, but could take possession action on their own. Picture are bad news I am afraid. We'd need a statement of affairs to advise.
