Mortgage Exit Fee

Evening all,
first time poster here....quick question I hope someone can answer. Unfortunately, Im going through a divorce with the soon to be ex-wife taking on the house and will transfer the mortgage and property into her name. We came off a Fixed term mortgage at the beginning of this year and went on to the lenders variable rate. Am I right in saying there normally isn't an exit fee on a Variable rate mortgage? Unless these particular circumstances involves other fees
many thanks in advance

The lender will need to verify but normally there is no early repayment charge once the deal ends. There will just be the mortgage redemption fee.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The redemption fee is normally around £100-200 and it is just to take their name off the land registry really.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
