Hi
ive Been furloughed since March and was blue lighted to hospital end of June where I stayed for 5 days.
sent home and awaiting mri and spinal appointments. Told I’m not allowed to drive due to the medication and pain. Should I have informed my employer?( My family business and they know I’ve been in hospital)
but should I have still got a sick form and notified them of sickness?
regards

It's the family business. What do they normally do when someone is off sick? Do they normally require a fit note? If you don't know because this hasn't happened before, ASK THEM!
Without a fit note, they won't be able to notify to HMRC that they are paying SSP.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Probs just keep you on furlough so can't imagine it will be a problem. You can self-certify for 7 calendar days so shouldn't need a sick note unless it continues. I'd update them as to your prognosis.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0
