Minimum wage

I have recently had my furlough reduced from 5 days a week, to working 4 and furlough 1 day a week. In order to work out salary I have a suspicion I may be being paid below the minimum wage.
I worked out my hourly salary by taking my monthly wage before tax, multiplying by 12 to give annual salary. I then divided this by 52 to give weekly, then again by 35, the hours I work to give me an hourly rate.
Have I worked this out correctly or is there any other factors I have to consider?
If correct, I am currently 5p an hour under minimum wage but how do I discuss this with my employer? Bearing in mind the company has struggled throughout lockdown and gas already made one employee redundant.
Thanks

You should be paid in full for what you work ie. normal pay for 4 days, but assuming you have all the relevant furlough agreements in place your pay would be 80% for the other day that you're furloughed.
So for someone who is on minimum wage and working 4 days and furloughed for 1 day their equivalent full time pay wouldn't be at the national minimum wage level because the have 1 day at 80% of NMW, which is lawful.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Don't forget that the reference pay for calculating furlough is from the last tax year and so doesn't account for the increase in NMW.1

Does that also take into account we are being expected to work at least an hour longer each day, with reduced breaks too?0

You need to work out whether they pay you the NMW for that time. Ask them for a breakdown of your pay with a nice and polite email if you're not sure how it's been calculated.frecklyleopard said:Does that also take into account we are being expected to work at least an hour longer each day, with reduced breaks too?“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G.
