Hi all, so two months in and it’s all quiet. I’ve a 10 month IPA for some of the council tax £30 and all my creditors seem to have been informed now as no contact and they have all changed at once to defaulted on my credit report. All have listed date of bankruptcy as default date except very.
My question is am I likely to hear anything more from the OR? I know nobody knows for sure but generally is that it?
Do my new bank accounts get monitored to ensure I’m spending my full allowances? I’m finding it strange as without debt I can have a really good quality of life but I’m still in the habit of just managing and the last two months I have managed to save a small amount from my allowances.
Thanks everyone

What bradders means is do things in cash, dont leave a papertrail, certainly don`t have "gifts" going through your bank account. You are not scrutenised during bankrupcy, but occasionally someone may be chosen at random to be investigated, so best to be savvy beforehand, other people can do what they like with their own money, just use common sence so this cannot be flagged up anywhere.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Out of interest, once an IPA is completed, do they make contact? or do you simply just stop paying once it’s completed and sail off into the sun?0

In many ways a DRO and Bankrupcy are quite similar, your only contact is at the start of the arrangement, you complete your 12 months, or however long your IPA is for, and thats it, contact is minimal, basically you just get on with it and console yourself with the thought of why the hell didnt i do this sooner.

I’m not sure that’s exactly true. I’ve been contacted multiple times by OR, Asset Manager and Clarke Willmott during my BR and it ended in July last year. I had an IPA payment to make for three years... so it ends in 2021. But I’ve been contacted with a questionnaire asking about any work bonuses etc etc. Within the first 5 months of BR my current basic bank account statements were requested to see whether or not I was following the budget given to me.I’ve always been honest with my OR regarding bonuses or increase to my salary, maybe I was wrong to do so?0
