Advice needed please re partial settlement

hello

I’ve been looking through other posts regarding partial settlements and am I correct in thinking that if the creditor accepts it, this partially settled marker will stay on my credit files from the date I make the partial payment? I have read other posts to suggest that it’s sometimes better to leave your accounts in default, so I’m not sure what to do. I have around £10k owing, and all barring one are showing as defaulted from 2017-2019. I am making minimal monthly payments currently.

thank you in advance

Your accounts remain defaulted regardless of wether you settle them or not.
Paying off a defaulted account does not remove the default, so it doesn`t make any difference if you settle it in full, or partially settle it, except to your wallet maybe.
The whole entry drops off your file on the 6th anniversary of the default date, no matter what else you do.
