A friend of mine bought a house in 1999 with his then partner..in 2012 the house was re possessed . It was a repayment mortgage he moved out lost touch with his partner
Last week he received a letter from a debt collection agency to say he and his ex owe nearly 22 thousand pounds..they couldn't contact her so he has to stand the debt
As you can imagine this is a massive shock no word for 8 years and now this
His mortgage was with the Halifax and he has always banked with them ...why have they waited 8 years ? And can they do this ?
