Final written warning

When should a final written warning be issued?
I got an outcome letter from a disciplinary stating" i am issuing you a final written warning" no expiry date or improvements stated .
Is that it have i received the final written warning or just been told i am getting one?
I have appealed the decision, but i am not sure if i have actually received the final written warning that i appealed?

I would take the wording of the letter to mean that that is your final written warning and has been recorded in your records. If you believe the warning should be in a different form then check your company’s policy about warnings, final and otherwise, to ensure they have followed their own policy.

If in doubt,  is there anybody you can ask?
Union rep / colleague perhaps?  Maybe somebody else has been through this already.

i will ask when i go back in Monday morning, i got the letter the end of March, but ive been furloughed since then.
