Instructed solicitor but not signed agreement, now wish to 'de-instruct'.

I choose and instructed a solicitor, however, after they sent through all the paperwork (T&Cs etc.) it became obvious there would be problems using them for our conveyancing. The agreement has not been signed /sent back. Is it just a case of letting them know we no longer wish to use their services, or should I be aware of possible problems?

Just email to confirm you are no longer using them.
Only possible problems would be if they started working on your case, possibly a small bill coming your way.
Ensure you have new solicitors and have provided the estate agent with the details as your old solicitor could say they're no longer acting and something get lost in translation when it's passed along.

Don't forget to tell your lender / broker who your new solicitors are.

    Good luck!
