Annual Leave Rights w/ Change of Hours

Hey,
OK, here is the situation... I took all of my annual leave on a full time 39 hour contract at the start of the year, and I am now moving to a 21 hour contract. I am told I am now 31 hours over on annual leave taken, due to my change in hours. I just want to know what my rights are in this situation, and if I have to make the hours up, or whether this is not the case.
Thank you.

You are entitled to take leave equivalent to the hours you work if you took all your annual leave at the start of the year whilst working 39 hours then you are in deficit and owe your employer 31 hours/

If the move to 21 hours was your decision then I don't think you have any valid argument.  If it was the employer who changed the hourse I would be more inclined to dispute the claim.

You don't have to make the hours up. You could have them deducted from your salary over the next few months.

If you are going part time, just offer to go part time week and a bit later, then will balance it out and you will not notice the loss.
