Hello all moral dilemma
wondering what to do about my dental payments as It’s north of £20 month should entitle me to two “Free visits” with dental and hygienist a year but this year no treatment of course and my July appointment just cancelled I have taken big hit financially like a lot of others but it seems to me Dentists paid this way are very fortunate has anyone else requested refunds ?

subscriptions are probably the only thing preventing the dentist from going bankrupt. Dentists have had less financial help than betting shops. The cost and type of PPE has greatly increased and covid precautions such as leaving a surgery for an hour after drilling before decontamination means many less patients can be seen . Instead of , in a private practice , 25 patients a day , you may be able to see four and this is using two surgeries per dentist. Each surgery will cost £120 to £200 plus an hour to run.Working in this way is financially unsustainable for any practice .One chain and many individual dentists have already gone bust , with the prospect of many more following. https://www.bda.org/news-centre/press-releases/Pages/Dentists-PPE-costs-will-cripple-service-as-millions-set-to-go-without-care.aspx
