I use Crash who are based here.
Just renewed last week randomly and cost me £30.
Used them a few times to be towed when I had a flat tyre (I drive a 7 seater so no spare) and they have always been very quick.

My renewal with the AA had just arrived at the start of lockdown & with a business now closed it was bill I didn't need.
I contacted them to explain why I wouldn't be renewing & the customer service I received was second to none. The customer service agent was not only very empathetic to my circumstances but immediately froze my account for 3 months to ensure I wouldn't lose the benefits I'd gathered up over the years. She then allocated a further 30 days free benefit at the end of the 3 months frozen period. She also added that should I require the need to use my van over the lockdown & I had the misfortune to break down, I could still call upon them for recovery. All in all a very genuine & helpful call adviser who because of their manner & professionalism, I will be staying with & whole heartedly recommending the AA in future.
I know they're not the cheapest but you really do get what you pay for.0
