Has anyone here any experience of using The ordinary skincare products?
I'd love to hear any experiences / recommendations.

I have used a few products from other ranges of the same parent company, these have been blends or more refined products and more expensive and they are great, I have just ordered from The Ordinary
Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2% - 30ml and
Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion (Previously Advanced Retinoid 2%) - 30ml as some research suggests they may suit my needs
I think the important thing is not to just buy the strongest solutions first of all as some of the them are very strong and may not contain other ingredients which would buffer them and prevent irritation. e.g. Retinols, Vitamin C.
Some of the places I checked out are:-
the ordinary sali hughes, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3hQnHi5OEk, Sensitive skin https://beautyblogwales.com/2020/05/02/the-ordinary-sensitive-skin-regimens/
also worth looking at Nadine Baggot on you tube, Caroline Hirons tells it straight, but generally is not a fan of single ingredient products preferring formulas which support or buffer the ingredient, i.e. she loves NIOD and Hylamide all by The parent The Abnormal Beauty Company.
Not exactly what you asked for, but hope will be of some use.

I've tried a few of their products - the Niacinamide & Zinc is a great serum if my skin is playing up spot wise, although it can be a bit drying if over applied.
The EUK134 is something I use more frequently, definitely adds a bit of glow.
The squalene oil was a bit heavy for me, but a friend swears by a drop or two to moisturise her dry, slightly frizzy hair.
I'm a bit meh about the vitamin c in silicone (the Superdrug own brand silicone free serum is better) and I didn't like the moisturising factors with hylauronic acid moisturiser - too heavy and seemed to just sit on the skin surface.2 -
I have been using the products for a while now. The price point is brilliant and each product lasts me for a couple of months. The Deciem Chatroom website has lots of info on the products including those that shouldn’t be used together and the order in which to use the products. It can seem overwhelming at first, so you could email them and they will send you a regime.
my suggestions;
hyalauronic acid ; for hydration
buffet: a good all-rounder for anti aging.
niacinamide - for oil control. I found this left me red. The Sales Assistant said it may be thr zinc and recommended the Pore Control in the Hyalamide range (which is a different brand by the same company). This suits my skin much better.
Natural factors moisturiser - a good generic moisturiser.I’m recommend starting with a basic cleanse and moisturise routine to get started and then add a couple of extra products once you identify what your skin needs. They recommend only introducing one new product at a time in case your skin reacts to it, so you can identify the problem product. The only other tip is that even though many products say they can be used daily, I find thst daily use dries my skin terribly, so I am experimenting with using every few days, but it’s still a work in progress.0 -
Just a thought many prefer The Inkey List range they are also inexpensive.

Can I recommend ‘just my look’ to buy from. I found this brand a while back , about time but as I heard today it never too late to start a regime! Only moisturiser, but it’s a start. Looking into hyraluronic acid (sp) next or rosehip oil.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

claracraighead said:It used to be a small, independent Canadian company. Then it was bought out. Now it’s not cruelty free anymore. When thousands of customers complained they just deleted their comments. Gross.
This is a bit of a thorny issue all round as to the cruelty free stance of brands, vs. partners / owning groups and people's personal ethics.0 -
I've used the EUK 134 0.1% and would recommend as it left my skin very moisturised when used with theNatural Hydrating factors cream, which is a basic fragrance free moisturiser. I would re-purchase the EUK but not the cream as it's not moisturising enough on its own for my dry sensitive skin.

I really like their hyraluronic acid and their aha/bha solution (the scary looking red mask)0

I really like make up and different make up mercies, so my work is my hobby at the same time, I have attended lots of make up courses, so lots of girls use my help as the make up artist for their events, b-days, weedings, graduations and so on, but apart from work I should study, but do not have time for that, so always use the help of professionals from papers-land writing service, where I always order different papers here, simply writing to custom service "write my paper for me" and always receive different wors before the deadline.-2
