Adverse?

Hi, thanks for reading. I’ll keep it brief as I’ve posted lots of questions lately. We went bankrupt in 2013 (long painful story I won’t go in to). Ever since I thought we had kept our files ‘squeaky clean’ but we are now looking for a mortgage and I’ve noticed two ‘1’s on our mortgage from May 15 and July 15. Have I ruined everything? Will lenders think we haven’t changed our ways? No issues since then at all! So upset with myself xx

You have only just noticed that you have missed 2 mortgage payments from 5 years ago ?  Crikey.

Your Bankruptcy is over 6 years now, assuming you where discharged over 6 years ago.
Your missed mortgage payments are 5 years old, give it another few months and they will be off your record.

I wouldn't get upset just yet.

Are you looking for a larger mortgage now then?

I don’t think I missed them, I paid them a few days late I think although I have no clue. Our credit scores are excellent, I’d not looked back that far. Yes we are looking to move now. Even if I had noticed I had missed them, what’s done is done. We’ve had perfect credit since them. What do you mean by crikey?? It’s shocking I paid something a few days late? I’m human you know??

Not shocking you paid late, just shocking that you only realised it now.  Anywho it was 5 years ago so I doubt this will hinder you moving.

Can I just say one think about this. I looked at Experian and it wasn’t showing on there at all, I looked at equifax and it was. I don’t normally check my credit reports as I don’t normally need to get credit. It’s very easily done and I don’t feel it’s any lacking on my part, just didn’t see it.

Really appreciate your reply though. Thank you.
