Messed up??

Argh I’m so annoyed with myself. Got a DIP  last week agreed from Halifax through my broker and was super happy. I’d checked my Experian file and thought I had checked Equifax too but I hadn’t seen two number 1’s from 2015 on my mortgage payments, May and July 2015. I had no idea I paid late (well I maybe did at the time but didn’t now). I’ve contacted Halifax who said because we got an outcome quickly and no issues arose on our credit file it shouldn’t have a huge impact when we do full application but I’m now wondering if I should redo the DIP with these on?? Or shall I wait till we find a property? My broker suggests just waiting as should be fine but interested to get some more thoughts?

Thanks :)

I didn’t know I had a default on my account from 2015 , my score last mont was 982 .
passed the hard checks but after this my experian dropped by 230 points I’ve paid for the expert credit ( 14 £ ) and found out about the default called Barclays and they said that “ Nothing adverse came up when done the checks so all ok”.
to be honest until you apply you will not know .
then you will have underwriting, and valuation so looots of stress ahead . You will hate weekends as it’s just another 2 days of standstill . Everything drags it’s just two days , 3 days but it turns to weeks . If you go with HTB it’s a week to hear from them and on new properties normally you have 6-8 weeks for exchange , they are flexible ...
hint of advice call lenders directly as well our DIP from justmortgages was 80 k less than the one from Barclays, both ware sufficient, it just shows there’s more than one option out there. 3 months payslips for the bank and for soliciting 6 months bank statement etc. solicitor requested Way more documents then the bank .

as it’s a mortgage late payment and over 3 years ago I wouldn’t worry too much.

Trust your broker. Don’t contact the lender yourself, that’s what you employ a broker for.
