sadielou said:Thanks everyone, no missed payments in 10+ years, no payment holidays taken, nothing incorrect or contentious on my credit report.I think zx81 is right, the 10k loan would be to replace the £10k car finance I have currently, but I guess they don’t know that.
if I had the cash I wouldn’t be looking for the loan but thanks.
Ended up with my husband taking out the loan as he doesn’t have any existing loans, just a small amount of credit card debt, and approved instantly with Halifax.0 -
I failed a 100% loan this week, followed by a 95%. Neither one gave me a reason and neither one did a hard check! Not only that, I had very little else on offer - the CRAs think I'm very unattractive to a lender. The 95% one looked at my bank statement, so it seems as if they didn't like something in there. But it's dang frustrating when they don't actually tell you why you've been rejected. Both CRAs have an accurate history of me, I have nothing nasty in my reports, and they still gave me those guaranteed rates and I was still rejected...
I ended up going with my existing bank, ironically they did the hard check and still approved it.0
