Posting comps - should I put the end date in both title AND date field?

Hello! Apologies in advance if I'm being a bit thick (it's been a very long week!) but I just tried posting a comp and got a bit muddled by the new date field.
I initially thought it had been introduced to save us having to write the end date in the title field, but it clearly hasn't. Am I right in thinking I need to add the date twice? Once in the title field and once in the date field?
Many thanks in advance for your help,

Yes - Do Both
1) The "new" end date is not visible (yet) anywhere, so we have got to keep going with the E: DD/MM in the title.
2) The "new" end date will not be useful for quite some time. ALL competitions need to have the "new" end date for it to work, and as those posted before 30/06 do not have one, it will take a couple of months before even 95% of live comps have a "new" end date.
3) It would help if original posters add the "new" end date to old competitions whenever they have the time.
4) The sorting and filtering by end date features are still being worked on (they appeared for a couple of hours on 30/06).5 -
Yes, you should put it in both.
The new box will be used later, possibly when the new Sort by End Date facility is introduced but it needs to be there on all current comps before it can be used. So until the majority of the posts without the new date have ended and gone, both dates are necessary.
It is this new date field that is automatically "closing" threads when they reach the end date. This clearly needs to be changed as it closing them too early (One-Eye has reported on Feedback) but when it works OK, it could possibly also be used to automatically move expired comps to GO.4 -
Ah, I see. Got it! Many thanks all for explaining so clearly.3
