The best treatment would probably what a dentist thinks is best. Discuss this with your dentist. Some people might not be suitable for implants I've read because if they smoke or have gum disease. Go and see your dentist when things are more normal-ish and discuss what your options might be.1

Depends how you define 'best'? The thing that does the least damage to anything else, the thing that will last the longest, the thing that will look best, the thing that will feel best or the cheapest thing?
There are many possible ways to deal with the gap, starting at 'doing nothing' and working up. You'll need to discuss it with your dentist though, as what's most suitable for you need not necessarily be the same as what's suitable for someone else.
How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.2
