You can just register for free. You pay if you want a silver or gold membership I think.
I just registered on the first option, the basic one.

Even when I am logged in I can’t enter comps with a free account anymore 😕 Comps are listed as a perk of silver & gold.

It wouldnt let me enter, just kept bringing up the banner to join the club. you have to be a silver or gold member for comps and I am only a regular.

Hit escape key and the banner disappears. Then you can enter as usual. No need for paid membership.
