HSBC or First Direct for a 5 year fix

Both seem to have a good rate and the fee is £999 or £490 but slight rate difference means you end up paying equally the same over 5 years. Any recommendations on ether lender? I am tempted by HSBC due to being able to access online and a lot of self service is available. Thoughts?

@IAMIAM Personally I'd go with HSBC as I eschew direct-only lenders. I don't know much of a practical difference there is though between HSBC and FD.
