Mortgage ID

I am at the last stages of applying for my first mortgage but they have asked for photo ID. Due to the current situation both my passport and driving licence are being renewed. Have been told passport could take 3 months, can’t get any response from DVLA. Can anyone suggest what I can do as I could lose my house and mortgage offer. I have id with my current address but mortgage company won’t accept. Thank you

@DRuby That's really bad luck. Are you certain you don't have a photocopy or scanned copy of your passport lying around at all - either physically or on your email/laptop/phone?
That will usually suffice for remote brokers. Unless your broker/lender needs to see it physically in which case it is a problem.

Have been told that because passport has now expired (hence ordering a new one!) that they won’t accept it and as I had to move just before lockdown the address on my driving licence is not the same as my current address (hence ordering a new one). Now both are somewhere in the DVLA and Passport Office
