Best way to pay a 10k mortgage when current fixd rate ends 6th july.

Our fixed deal on our morgage ends on 6th july 2020. We will have 10k left to pay. Would it be better to put this on 30mth 0% balance transfer cards and pay off as much as we can . Then in 30mths do it again. Thanks

Comments

  • That depends on how quickly you will be paying off the 10k and how likely you are to be accepted for a new credit card with a 10k limit.
How long do you have left on your mortgage?
    Are you making overpayments?

You won't be able to BT a mortgage.  You'd need a money transfer card, but make sure you understand the fees.

What rate will your mortgage go to and how long to run? It may not be worth shifting it.
