Are there any dentists doing private treatment?

Hi.

Any dentists, whether NHS or otherwise doing private treatments at the moment? Or are they all in the same boat?

I rang my local NHS one and they said not yet. Presumably they're going to wait until the autumn and see what the Covid situation will be like before embarking on that kind of work.
So is it basically every dentist in England in the same position?

Strangely enough, just had a 'phone call from our (private) dentist to say that they are re-opening for non urgent treatment, and offering us appointments for routine check ups in July (cancelled in April).

There will be hoops to jump through, of course, and likely that they'll add on the cost of their additional PPE and cleaning, but we expected that.

I  have got two  appointments for next week, one will involve lab work so the lab my dentist uses must be working, and the other appointment is for a high aerosol procedure.  This is a private dentist.  I anticipate that the fees will have increased to cover their additional PPE costs but I expect that.
