Morrisons click and collect weird response from company...
I like our Morrisons in Reading and normally shop personally, so decided to try click and collect when it was started at the store. Im not bad at the computer savvy stuff, but after an hour I just couldnt work out where it was online - I could only see home deliveries. Next time I was in store (and they were helpful) some staff tried to assist me, and one through their account on a phone could get to click and collect. This seemed strange so I emailed customer service and their reply was that my postcode wasnt in the click and collect range for the store (which seems strange) and secondly to get round this they suggested I change my postcode (even stranger as it means adding an address that isn't mine to the account). Problem is even that didnt work.... has anyone seen or heard of this?... I just don't understand their answer... my real postcode is a Reading one, so why would Morrisons be bothered about certain postcodes not being eligible, after all its me travelling to them not the other one round! Anyone enlighten me on what is going on?

I would guess that the address database is the same for Online Delivery and Click & Collect. So if they don't deliver to your address, they probably don't have a way to make it eligible for Click & Collect, even though this seems totally illogical as you say!
If my guess is right, you could check a few local postcodes on this page by trial and error, then you'll know which one to add to your account.

You could add the store post code - you won't get closer than that0

Yep I added the store postcode... not eligible for delivery (kinda makes sense
) The strange thing is I am eligible for delivery but not for click and collect! thanks for the link pmpkin Ill try that out.

Balbs - firstly I must state that, unlike you, I am not particularly computer savvy. However, I seem to remember having a similar problem with Morrisons website when I wanted to place an online order earlier this year. I kept getting a message saying they do not yet deliver in my area although I knew that they did.Sorry if this is a bit hazy but I seem to remember being told that I needed to clear something on my computer. Could it have been cache and cookies? Whatever I did, it worked. Try it and see if it helps.0

Currently, there are two Morrisons websites for ordering online.
- https://groceries.morrisons.com/browse - launched around 2014. Groceries are picked in a warehouse that is joint owned with Ocado for home delivery only: https://www.bbc.com/news/business-22564676
- https://groceries.store.morrisons.com - launched around 2017. Groceries are picked in large Morrisons stores and made available for home delivery and click and collect. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-37019583

DRspa44 thanks for putting me out of my misery.... youre right so many thanks. What I had to do was open a new account, put the store postcode in as if it was my own - as you rightly said this opened up the correct website. Quite why Morrisons have got into such a muddle beats me. Their customer support didnt really seem to know what the problem was and the mark of a bad system to my mind is when the only way round things is all sorts of workarounds. To rub salt into my wounds when I eventually put together my order my favourite yoghurt was missing... karma.
