I certainly enjoyed watching the 5PM "Boris Report" as we call it in this house. I've been counting down the days to the 12th and it's nice to get it officially confirmed that we'll be allowed to go and do something.
We're not going to rush out to crowded spaces or anything just yet but I'm browsing for holiday cottages now for a working retreat. A few days away will do wonders for my sanity I think. At the moment they're reasonably affordable too so hopefully they still are in a few days when we can book!
Debt-wise, I've nuked the smallest of the payday loans (£100), so that's another one off the list. I'm aiming to do the last remaining payday loan in the next week or two, then I'll try to track down the DCA that has the washer loan. I've been happy to pay the other things because I took them out, I really do owe them, etc. That £509 is from a £300 loan that actually got "mostly paid off" before we got into difficulties. The company we borrowed from hit us with tons of charges then passed it on to a DCA that hit us with even more so I don't feel as cheeky asking them to consider a settlement.
