in Cutting tax
Good afternoon,
I hope that I have put this in the right place. Today I received a letter to say I was owed a tax rebate. This happens every year. I went online as I have done previously, but this year it says I am unable to claim online or by telephone. I presume this is due to working conditions in the current climate, but I just wondered if anybody else had had this, or had been able to claim online. It was a brief bit of good news as the rebate would help us a lot as like many others, my income has been curtailed during lockdown. Hoping I won't have to wait two months!

You've received a letter from who ?0

Yes I have had my P800 letter as well and have tried to do the same. Was the same, but hoping the same don't have to wait two months for payment as well.0

I had seen my P800 online and requested payment of the rebate before it arrived by post. That was around the 17th and my payment still hasn't arrived. When I check online it says that they sometimes need to do extra security checks. Not sure what the delay is.
