CCJ/CCD

Looking to see if anyone has a way forward.
Upon checking my credit file, I have a CCJ (although I'm in Scotland so it will be a CCD) for £300 which I did not know I had. It is from 2018 from a magazine advert I took out. I was sure it had been paid and did not receive any notification or post regarding it going to court. They have never once chased me for payment of the CCJ/CCD.
Trying to tidy up my credit file and so trace it back to source, call them, they are no longer, went into administration. Called their collections team at another company, nothing on record and unsure what to do about it. Called solicitor that lodged the case against me, havn't replied to my calls.
Now do I
• Call the court for advice
• Submit the form for it to be set aside and then go to court with it or pay it off thus taking the CCJ off

• Something else?
I am trying to pay it so it shows as satisfied on my credit file, but getting nowhere with it, any help/suggestions appreciated. It was 2018 so not wanting to 'wait it out'

We're more familiar with the English system.
Maybe try National Debtline Scotland for advice?
I'd say if they are not available to engage with you then a setaside application (assuming you can do that in Scotland) stands a good chance of success.0 -
Set aside is a recall in Scotland. This is ND's page on it
https://www.nationaldebtline.org/S/factsheets/Pages/decrees-in-the-sheriff-court/applying-for-a-recall.aspx
Court staff can't advise other than to point to the process but if you intend to apply for a recall, do you have the evidence of paying in 2018?I was sure it had been paid and did not receive any notification or post regarding it going to courtThere is no pre-action letters in Scotland so the claim paperwork (simple procedure) will have been sent to whatever address the magazine had. Have you moved?
- All land is owned. If you are not on yours, you are on someone else's
- When on someone else's be it a road, a pavement, a right of way or a property there are rules. Don't assume there are none.
- "Free parking" doesn't mean free of rules. Check the rules and if you don't like them, go elsewhere

I wasn't clear from that fact sheet whether you could request a recall at any time.
If you can, then the court should contact the claimant and from what you say they will not reply.0
