Sharing on forum as a condition of entry

Came across a blog running a Gleam/RC-style comp earlier (not through MSE, to clarify) with all the usual social media entry routes, as well as a couple asking for the comp to be shared on MSE and a couple of other comping sites in return for entries. As well as being untenable for MSE at least, since dupes are usually flagged up and removed, would this not place anyone who did share it in the dubious position of promoting a brand for a 'price'? It's a tough one for me, since I'd hate to think that I was only sharing a comp on specially a comping page because it might make me more likely to win, as it almost seems disingenuous. I've never come across a comp asking for sharing on specific comping websites before in 4 years of comping, has anyone else?

Yep, same competition - I'd wonder if someone entering this way who wasn't Superhez won would be DQed because they didn't share it themselves? Obviously there's no way to do that on MSE because dupes aren't allowed, so would a dead link still have to count if someone chose to repost it? It's an odd one, certainly.
