So, I have a unique situation.
I don't live with my partner but I'm hoping to soon, she lives with her parents due to various circumstances with a break up of her marriage many years ago and her parents ill health. Her parents want to move as they do not like the area they currently live in, so have suggested we all move in together in a new house. Their current house has no mortgage and they will put 75% of the money from the sale to the new house. I and my partner will then ideally get a mortgage for the remaining 25%.
The easiest way would be for them to gift the 75% deposit but that poses a problem in the fact they would have no claim to the house.
Is there a way that they can pay 75% of the house and me and my partner pay the remaining 25% with a mortgage so we can all live together?
