Exchange and complete when off sick

Hi, we have had our Mortgage offer months ago and we are nearly at exchange and completion on a property but I have an unfair complaint raised against me at work and fear getting fired. This would mean we lose the mortgage offer.
This is causing me stress and I would like to go off sick until exchange and completion on the property. I will be paid full salary while off sick
If I go off sick will this affect the mortgage offer?

If I go off sick will this affect the mortgage offer? It probably will if they twig that you did it to delay getting fired until after completion.

And how will you pay the mortgage if you lose your job ?

Being off sick shouldn't be a problem, losing your job would be.

Going of sick does not stop the disciplinary process, otherwise people could go off sick with stress for months and still get paid. If you think you might get sacked how do you plan on paying the mortgage?0

If I go off sick will this affect the mortgage offer?@pogues70 Sticking to your question, going off sick for a short period due to stress on full pay will not affect your mortgage offer in the short term (given that you are nearly at exchange and completion) any more than if you were to be hospitalised for a month due to an accident and continued to receive full pay during that time.If you do lose your job and inform the broker/lender of the same, then yes the offer will be pulled.0 -
Thanks for the comments everyone, I know it looks like financial suicide but I have a years salary as savings , the important thing for me is to get the property before I lose this job.0

The disciplinary may well carry on regardless, particularly if work know you are playing the system, just so you are aware. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

sickness will definitely delay the disciplinary some what. Not indefinitely, but it will delay it1 -
Hope that you can find a GP that will see you to issue a sicknote.
How will you explain to your emplyer that you were well enough to move house? Probably the last thing you'd undertake suffering from stress.1 -
